Columbia Basin College has been awarded a Title V Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) 格兰特. The $3 million dollar grant, funded by the U.S Department of 教育, will support the entire 网赌正规真人实体在线平台 student body by focusing on reducing gaps between First Time-Entering College Hispanic and Non-Hispanic students in retention and completion or transfer, increasing diversity students' retention and sense of belonging and improve students academic, social, and emotional success, from enrollment through completion.
The grant will fund an Equity Center, faculty development, and course and curriculum 重新设计.

HSI Week 2024: September 16-20

HSI Week aligns with the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month which is observed from September 15 to October 15. HSIs are encouraged to celebrate the week with events and activities that celebrate the Hispanic heritage and highlight the importance of HSIs in decreasing the equity gap for Hispanic/historically underserved students.
